About the Open Call

Guest Room is a monthly online exhibition format that fosters collaboration and sparks creative exchange. For this edition, curators Shana Lopes and Aspen Mays invite artists to consider how magic functions within photography today, pushing back against synthetic imagery and information overload. The call welcomes work that engages doubling, substitution, sleight of hand, constructed realities, staged impossibilities, and reenactment.

What is Offered

Chance to be awarded a 250 € Der Greif Guest Room Scholarship, publication in an online showcase on Der Greif, and a Face-to-Face feedback session with the curators.

Requirements

Images selected for previous Der Greif opportunities are not eligible for re-submission. The call is open to photographers worldwide.
