Gossamer Fog
The in vitro Fellowship is a curatorial incubator programme built to equip early-career practitioners with the tools to manage artist-run spaces and curate exhibitions. Fellows spend one day a week over 6 months working with the Gossamer Fog team on exhibition delivery, live mixed-reality events at their Alt_R facility, and general gallery operations. The programme concludes with the fellow developing and curating their own group exhibition in the gallery space. The fellowship focuses on the social and ecological impacts of digital technologies.
Total fee of £3,120 (£120 per day for one day a week over 6 months) plus a £1,000 production budget for a final exhibition.
Early-career artists or curators not currently employed as curators elsewhere; must be based in or able to travel to London for one day a week; must be registered as self-employed; proposed exhibitions must be physical but cannot include the fellow's own artwork.
Applicants must complete an online form including a 200-word bio, a 200-word statement on why they want to participate, and a 200-word outline of an early curatorial project idea. A CV and portfolio link are also required.
