Goethe auf Mallorca is a residency scholarship awarded to two candidates to work with the Planas Archive. The program provides curatorial support, documentation, and dissemination of the creative process. Residents are expected to produce a selection of photographs and a text between 10 and 100 pages. The residency includes a stay in Mallorca from June 29 to September 15, 2026, with a final presentation at the COSTA Congress in October.
2,700 € scholarship endowment, up to 500 € travel allowance, and accommodation included.
Applicants must be researchers, curators, designers, historians, poets, or cultural producers working in Germany or in the Balearic Islands (Mallorca). Proposals must relate archival material to cultural relationships between Germany and Mallorca, potentially including climate or gender perspectives.
Submit a single PDF file (max 10 MB) to residencias@casaplanas.org with the subject 'Goethe and Casa Planas Scholarships 2026'. The file must include contact details, proof of residence, a portfolio/CV with 5 relevant projects, a summarized 1-page CV, and a 2-page summary of conceptual interests and research topics.
