About the Open Call

The residency program 'Geographies of Extractivism' invites proposals from artists, researchers, and curators who maintain a critical perspective on territory. The selected project includes a residency period at CACiS for research and creation, culminating in a public exhibition or process-based presentation. The jury will prioritize conceptual quality, innovation, and connection to the local community and region of Central Catalonia.

What is Offered

The selected project receives a €1,000 gross artist fee, up to €2,000 for production, €250 per diem at the start, curatorial and technical support, and residency accommodation valued at €1,000.

Requirements

The call is open to visual, sound, and interdisciplinary artists, as well as researchers and curators. Proposals must demonstrate critical relevance to extractivism and innovatively connect with the Central Catalonia region.
