About the Open Call
Organized as part of an upper-level Curatorial Practices seminar, GATHER explores how photography connects people, materials, labor, and communities. The exhibition invites works that examine creation and (dis)connection, mending and unraveling, fragmentation and repair, tension and release, and other interwoven dualities reflective of the present moment. Artists are encouraged to push the boundaries of lens-based practice — incorporating craft, handwork, dimensionality, imperfection, and experimentation. Collaborative and collective works are welcome.
