About the Open Call

The festival focuses on contemporary dance as a space for experimentation, research, and dialogue with current artistic practices. It aims to showcase a wide range of choreographic approaches, styles, and artistic visions, encouraging works that can interact meaningfully with diverse urban and architectural environments. The dance section presents live performances staged in venues such as Villa Durazzo Bombrini and Palazzo Ducale, offering artists the opportunity to engage with both indoor and outdoor spaces. FuoriFormato promotes international exchange while supporting new talent and the evolution of the contemporary dance scene.

What is Offered

Performance opportunity at the Fuoriformato Festival.

Requirements

Open to professional artists, companies, or collectives working in contemporary dance (no amateurs or schools). Performances must be minimum 15 minutes long. Each applicant may submit up to 2 works. Work must be adaptable to different indoor/outdoor spaces. Application must include a full video of the performance or rehearsal (no password, no post-production editing). Applicants must be available for all festival dates. Submission must be completed via the official online form.
