About the Open Call

The Full Circle International Residency Award aims to support mid-career Australian artists based in New South Wales through a unique residency, research, and exhibition opportunity. One artist will be selected for a fully funded six-week residency at Messums East in the UK, situated in a refurbished arts complex on the most easterly point of the UK. The award supports visual artists who engage with the landscape or environment. The residency places emphasis on contemplation and community engagement, providing access to historical and environmental research. The initiative culminates in a solo exhibition at Orange Regional Gallery the following year.

What is Offered

Valued at AUD $33,000, including international flights, travel, accommodation, studio space, art materials, living expenses, an artist fee for the exhibition, and a publication.

Requirements

Open to mid-career Australian artists based in New South Wales with a track record of professional achievement. Practice must respond to or engage with landscape, Country, or the environment. Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents with a valid passport and available for an uninterrupted 6-week residency between September and November 2026.
