Visionary Art Collective
From the Ground Up: Contemporary Landscape is an exhibition that explores how artists investigate the landscape today. Framed as a point of departure rather than a fixed view, the landscape becomes a jumping off point. From abstracted terrains and constructed environments to fleeting moments of light in plein air, artists engage the landscape to examine perception and how it relates to culture, politics, and memory. By implementing various ways of making such as abstraction, realism, invention and experimental forms, artists turn to the landscape to contemplate and question how we see and what we deem valuable in our surroundings. We invite submissions across all disciplines that engage landscape—urban or rural, real or imagined, material or symbolic to submit their work for consideration. The exhibition will be presented at Warnes Contemporary starting April 23, 2026, for six to eight weeks, with promotion across social media, works available on Artsy, and select artists featured in New Visionary Magazine. The submission fees fund the platform, offset operational costs, and compensate the team and curators.
Exhibition in New York City, promotion through Visionary Art Collective and Warnes Contemporary social media, works available on Artsy, features in New Visionary Magazine for selected artists, and 50% commission on artwork sales.
Open to artists submitting all 2D & 3D mediums. Submissions require high-quality images (72 DPI, minimum 800 pixels wide), with 2D images cropped to show only artwork and 3D work photographed against a white background. Include a bio (300 words max) and an artist statement (300 words max). Files should be no larger than 10 MB. Artwork included in the exhibition must be for sale.
