About the Open Call

This annual competition is open to artists living in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Each year, FAM invites a juror to select approximately 50 artworks for inclusion and award first, second, third place, and honorable mention. The museum retains a 10% commission on works sold during the exhibition.

What is Offered

Cash awards: 1st place $300, 2nd place $200, 3rd place $100, and honorable mention. Exhibition opportunity and art sales with 10% commission.

Requirements

Artists must reside in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, or Wisconsin. Work must have been created in the last two years. Up to four artworks may be submitted per artist.

How to Apply

Artists must register and submit up to four artworks through the ArtCall platform at the provided URL. A registration fee of $45 is required ($35 for museum members).
