About the Open Call

The Foundation House Artist Residency Program, located in backcountry Greenwich, CT, offers a 10-day residency to six artists during its Fall 2025 session (October 3rd - October 12th, 2025). The mission of Foundation House is to focus on mental health, environmental, and social justice issues, and applicants must propose projects aligned with these themes. The program provides residents with a stipend, a private bedroom, private or semi-private bathroom, all meals with full kitchen access, and access to studio space, common areas, and 75 acres of land. Residents are expected to engage in a working residency, with daily communal dinners to foster relationships and collaboration. Foundation House is committed to diversity and inclusion.

Requirements

Applicants must focus on mental health, environmental, and social justice issues; no other focus areas will be considered. Required application materials include: CV/Resume, project proposal, statement on impact, list of required space/equipment, three references (names/affiliations), and portfolio. All uploaded files must be in PDF or .doc format and consolidated into single files where specified.
