FotoCreativaBA
FotoCreativaBA, established in 2010, is an international training space in Contemporary Photography and Combined Arts. It supports artists in their exploration, research, production, presentation, and circulation of works. As a member of Res Artis, the FotoCreativaBA Artistic Residency is located in the Galería Patio del Liceo in Buenos Aires. The residency welcomes visual artists, photographers, researchers, curators, and work groups seeking time and space for reflection, discussion, and creation. The mission is to promote and develop cultural projects linked to Photography and Combined Arts, fostering dialogue between artists from various disciplines. The call for applications is open all year round for residency proposals through December 2025, for a minimum period of 1 week and a maximum of 6 months.
The residency offers periodic feedback and monitoring of projects, studio visits to heritage sites, tours of local galleries and artistic spaces, a monthly agenda of local events, free access to all FotoCreativaBA activities and training, registration of the residency process, publication on FotoCreativaBA networks, and an open studio at the end of the residency. Residents will have curatorial support, access to the gallery as a workspace, a virtual library, and internet. Accommodation is not included, but assistance will be provided to secure it.
Open to visual artists, photographers, researchers, curators, and work groups (up to 5 people). Minimum stay of 1 week, maximum stay of 6 months. Applicants must submit a comprehensive PDF application as specified in the 'How to Apply' section.
Interested parties must submit a PDF to hola@FotoCreativaBA.com (not larger than 10Mb) including: Personal information (Name, Surname, ID, Date and place of birth, Address, Telephone, email, Instagram, website or similar), Front and back photo of ID or Passport, Brief biography (maximum 500 words), Start date and end date of your stay, Indication of accommodation needs, and a Motivation letter with a plan of activities, including a model and/or visual references.
