The Flynn
The Flynn Breakthrough initiative is designed to commission, produce, and incubate original performance work for public spaces and non-conventional venues. The program features two tracks: an Incubator Program providing $5,000 plus resources, mentorship, and space for project development; and a Producing Platform providing $25,000 plus producing and marketing support for world premieres. The project aims to support work that takes artistic risks and engages communities in unconventional settings such as parks, town greens, and mountainsides.
At least five Incubator Projects ($5,000 each plus mentorship and resources) and up to four Producing Platform premieres ($25,000 each plus producing/marketing support).
Open to individual artists, collectives, and organizations (both arts and non-arts) based in the United States working in any performing arts discipline. Projects must be intended for public spaces or non-conventional venues. Students are eligible if they demonstrate professional capacity.
