About the Open Call

Blue Koi Gallery welcomes artists and photographers from around the world to share their vision in the Fluid Abstract Juried Art Competition. This competition explores the beauty of movement, emotion, and transformation through abstract expression, celebrating the freedom of form where color, texture, and imagination merge to create art in motion. All interpretations, mediums, and styles are accepted, including painting, mixed media, photography, digital art, and sculpture. Participants must be 18 years or older. Winners receive cash awards, exhibition opportunities, social media promotion, newsletter features to collectors and galleries, and certificates of achievement. All winners will be featured in the Blue Koi Online Art Exhibition. The jury process is anonymous, conducted by an independent panel of art professionals, focusing on creativity, skill, and originality.

What is Offered

$500 worth of prizes and Cash Award. Promotion on social media channels, Newsletter to Galleries & Art Lovers, Certificate of Achievement. First Prize includes $200 Cash, Exhibition, Social Media Promotion, Newsletter feature to Collectors, Galleries & Art Lovers, and Certificate. Second Prize includes $50 Cash, Exhibition, Social Media Promotion, and Certificate. Third Prize, Honorable Mentions & Finalists receive Exhibition, Social Media Promotion, and Certificate. Advantage includes Permanent Display on Platform. All winners will be featured in the Blue Koi Online Art Exhibition.

Requirements

Open to artists worldwide who are 18 or older. All backgrounds, skill levels, and styles are welcome. All visual media are accepted, including painting, mixed media, photography, digital art, and sculpture. Submissions must be original works created by the artist. Image requirements: File Size Max 2 MB, Format jpg, jpeg, png. Ensure professional presentation (proper cropping, no mockups, frames, or watermarks). File Name Format: 'Artist Name – Title of Art.jpg'. High-resolution images (Maximum 2000px on the longest side), JPEG or PNG format only, no watermarks or signatures, professional lighting and neutral background preferred. Label file names clearly (Artist name – Artwork Title.jpg).

How to Apply

Artists must apply through the provided online entry form, selecting 'Fluid Abstract' as the competition. Applicants need to provide their full name, email, website/social media (public contact), how they heard about the call, and an artist statement. Submissions require uploading images with specific requirements: Max 2 MB, jpg/jpeg/png format, professional presentation (proper cropping, no mockups, frames or watermarks). File names must be formatted as 'Artist Name – Title of Art.jpg'. High-resolution images (max 2000px on longest side) are preferred, with professional lighting and neutral backgrounds. An entry fee of $25 (for 4 images) or $35 (for 6 images) is required at the time of submission.
