About the Open Call

Call for Entry: "Fleeting Moments" Decagon Gallery invites photographers to submit work for our upcoming online exhibition, "Fleeting Moments." This exhibition will explore the beauty and poignancy of transient moments in life — those brief instances that are often unnoticed but carry deep emotional resonance. Whether it’s a snapshot of an impermanent expression, an event that occurred too quickly to be fully grasped, or a quiet moment of stillness within a busy world, we are seeking images that capture the essence of the fleeting. Eligibility: This call is open to photographers over 18 of all experience levels. Both traditional and experimental photography techniques are welcome. We encourage diverse interpretations of the theme and all types of photography — from street to fine art to documentary — as long as the work speaks to the idea of moments that are brief, elusive, or transient. Submission Details: Theme: Fleeting Moments. Deadline for Submissions: July 20, 2025. Exhibition Launch Date: August 5, 2025. Entry Fee: FREE. Juror: Richard Koenig. Submission Guidelines: Open to photographers over 18 of all levels, working in any photographic style or process. Submit JPEGs that are at least 2100px on the longest side. No watermarks or borders. Your files must be set to at least 2100 pixels on the long edge, saved as jpg or jpeg, and be less than 3 mb (that's the size of the closed file). Name the file like this: First Name-Last Name_Title.jpg eg. Justin-Murphy_Streetcorner Serenade.jpg

What is Offered

All accepted photographs will be featured in our online exhibition, accessible to a global audience. Digital badges will be awarded to all accepted entries. A professionally designed exhibition catalog will be available for purchase. A short video showcasing the exhibition will be created and posted on our YouTube channel and website.

Requirements

Open to photographers over 18 of all levels, working in any photographic style or process. Submit JPEGs that are at least 2100px on the longest side. No watermarks or borders. Files must be set to at least 2100 pixels on the long edge, saved as jpg or jpeg, and be less than 3 mb. Name the file like this: First Name-Last Name_Title.jpg
