About the Open Call

The Music Residency at Fish Factory Creative Centre, in partnership with Studio Silo, offers dedicated time for composers, producers, and bands. Residents gain guaranteed access to the Live Room at Studio Silo for 14 non-consecutive days, equipped with piano, keyboards, electric & acoustic guitars, full drum kit, and assorted amps. Artists are required to bring their own audio interface and microphones for independent tracking, though some mics are available. A Fish Factory sound engineer can be booked separately for recording sessions. The Concert Hall is also available 24/7 for rehearsals, test gigs, and capturing natural acoustics, featuring a piano, organs, drum kit, guitars, backline, and a flexible PA system. The residency suits solo musicians, producers, duos, or small bands across all genres, who are comfortable with DIY recording without a separate control room. Residency lengths align with standard residency periods, with consecutive months possible. Accommodation includes a private bedroom with shared kitchen, lounge, and bathroom facilities.
