About the Open Call

This initiative supports projects and professional development opportunities across all art forms, nationally and internationally. The fund is open to Australian First Nations d/Deaf artists, artists with disability, groups, and First Nations organizations. Eligible activities include the creation of new work, creative development, experimental arts, practice-based research, skills development, mentoring, residencies, and public presentations like exhibitions or performances.

What is Offered

Grant funding ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 to cover project costs, artist fees, and development expenses.

Requirements

Applicants must identify as Australian First Nations and as d/Deaf and/or living with disability. Individuals must be 18+ years old and based in Australia. Organizations must be at least 51% First Nations on the board and demonstrate a history of working with First Nations d/Deaf/disabled artists. Projects must start on or after 1 July 2026.

Applications must be submitted through the Creative Australia Application Management System. Applicants must be registered in the system at least two business days prior to the closing date.
