About the Open Call

FAB 2026 includes three open calls: 1) Film Submissions for animated shorts across various competition and out-of-competition categories. 2) FAB Dimensional, seeking expanded animation artworks, video installations, or interactive/immersive media that cannot be shown in a standard cinema. 3) FAB Pitch, offering a platform for animation projects currently in development to be presented to an industry audience.

What is Offered

Selected artists for FAB Dimensional receive an artist fee, coverage of transportation/travel/accommodation costs, and festival accreditation. Pitch participants receive workshop preparation.

Requirements

Film submissions must be completed after May 1, 2024. FAB Dimensional is open to artists 18+ for works requiring non-cinema presentation. FAB Pitch is open to projects currently in development with at least 50% animation content.
