The festival 'More Than Theatre' celebrates the 60th Anniversary of Odin Teatret in Warsaw, Poland, where Eugenio Barba began his theatre education. This event provides a unique opportunity to engage with the history and practice of one of Europe's most experienced theatre groups through meetings and workshops led by Odin Teatret’s director and actors. Attendees will also have the chance to see the latest premiere, 'Hamlet’s Clouds'. The program includes practical workshops and reflective seminars covering key aspects of the group's work, such as actor/dancer’s training and dramaturgy, theatre anthropology, and the social engagement of theatre.
The participation fee covers workshops, seminars, work presentation, and a family performance. Each participant is guaranteed entry to one performance of HAMLET'S CLOUDS. Organizers are offering to help find accommodation.
Participants must be able to communicate in English, as it is the working language. Applicants are required to submit a motivation statement of at least 100 words and provide details of any prior involvement in Odin Teatret workshops.
To apply, prospective participants must fill out an online Google Form. The application requires personal details including first name, family name, sex, age, email, mobile/cell phone, nationality, spoken languages, education, and profession. Applicants must also provide a minimum 100-word statement detailing their motivation for wishing to participate and disclose any previous participation in Odin Teatret workshops, including location and date.
