European Theatre Convention (ETC)
The Strategic Communication Specialist is responsible for shaping high-level narratives for policymakers and producing practical communication tools for artists and institutions. Key responsibilities include leading communication campaigns for European projects, initiating stakeholder dialogue with EU targets (MEPs and European Commission officials), managing editorial and media partnerships, and overseeing digital communication transitions. The role is based at the ETC office in Berlin but involves international collaboration across over 30 countries.
1-year fixed-term contract (40h/week) starting 23 March 2026, with a monthly gross salary starting from 3,500 EUR. Benefits include 30 days of paid annual leave, 50% subsidy for the Berlin public transport card, and physical wellbeing support. Home office is permitted 1-2 days per week.
University degree in arts management, business, or European studies. 5-10 years of senior experience in strategic communication and advocacy within a European cultural organization or EU-funded project environment. Excellent English skills and deep familiarity with the European theatre sector and its public funding structures.
