About the Open Call

Filmmakers and artists are invited to submit their works to be considered for the 39th edition of IDFA. All entries are reviewed by an international team of selectors. The call includes traditional film entries with multiple deadlines and a dedicated call for new media and performance work starting mid-March. The selection process is overseen by IDFA’s Artistic Director.

What is Offered

Consideration for festival programming, eligibility for various competitions and awards, and exposure to international audiences and professionals.

Requirements

Applicants must read and accept the festival's entry regulations. Films must be submitted by the specified deadlines (April 23, May 28, or July 9). New media and performance call opens March 17, 2026.
