Canadian Centre for Architecture
The Emerging Curator Residency Program solicits ideas for projects that take innovative curatorial approaches and experimental formats. The program offers the opportunity to propose and curate a project related to contemporary debates in architecture, urban issues, landscape design, and cultural and social dynamics. It includes a mentorship period followed by a residency to develop and implement the project with the CCA team. The output may range from editorial projects and documentary films to physical or virtual exhibitions.
Three finalists receive a CAD 1,000 support fee for mentorship. The final recipient receives CAD 12,000 for travel, housing, and living expenses for a three-month residency in Montreal, and the CCA funds the project's production costs.
Applicants must be architects, journalists, designers, critics, historians, photographers, artists, or scholars aged 30 or younger on 1 January 2026. Submissions must be new projects never before presented or published. Proficiency in English or French is required.
Applications must be submitted through the CCA online application portal (https://form.jotform.com/253076306554255) and include a curatorial statement (1,000 to 1,500 words with up to 10 images), a CV, a selection of realized projects, and contact information for two references.
