About the Open Call

The Ian Potter Cultural Trust supports Australian artists across all disciplines for professional development projects such as residencies, mentorships, study tours, and masterclasses. Funding is primarily for international opportunities. Applicants must be within 10 years of their first formal arts qualification or early in their professional practice. The program does not support projects solely for exhibition, performance, or production of new works.

What is Offered

Grants of up to $15,000 to support professional development costs.

Requirements

Must be 18+ years old, Australian citizen or permanent resident, possess an Australian bank account, make a personal financial contribution, and be an emerging or early-career artist (within 10 years of first qualification).

Applicants must create an account in the GivingData portal, complete an eligibility quiz, and submit the online application form with required documents including CV, budget, itinerary, references, and examples of work.
