TEJA
In response to the enormous disruptions facing the Palestinian art and cultural scene, now besieged in an unacceptable and inhumane attack on its identity and existence, marked by the suspension of activities, deteriorating security, and economic pressure, TEJA will expand its residency program in 2026, following the success of the Palestinian artist residencies in 2023, 2024, and 2025. This year, TEJA will host three new three-month residencies dedicated to supporting artists and cultural professionals based in the West Bank and Jerusalem. In addition, in the second half of the year, TEJA will host three further residencies for Gazan artists, offered by invitation only (since Spain cannot facilitate evacuations from Gaza, these invitations will be coordinated through France). These residencies aim to provide a stable and creative environment and foster artistic exchange in the face of current adversity. With these new residencies, TEJA reaffirms its commitment to amplifying Palestinian voices and empowering artists in these turbulent times. HOST SPACES PROFILE: La Escocesa (Barcelona), hablarenarte / Planta Alta (Madrid), Espositivo (Madrid), Institute for Postnatural Studies (Madrid), Casa Árabe (Córdoba).
