Earth Photo is open to all approaches, from documentary and photojournalism to contemporary, artistic, and conceptual projects. The open call welcomes entries across all image-based formats, including still and moving image, photographic series, single images, long-form documentary, multimedia, participatory, and mobile-based projects. Both individual artists and collectives are encouraged to apply. Submitted works should have been created within the past five years. Earlier material may be included where relevant as part of a long-term documentary project, archive, or vernacular photography series. Each applicant may submit up to 10 works, either still or moving image. Short films must be between 5 seconds and 5 minutes in length. Entries must be submitted online via this website. Please ensure you have read the Rules and Guidelines before applying. Applicants must provide: A CV (maximum 500 words) A short artist statement (maximum 250 words) A caption or statement for each submitted image or film (maximum 100 words each) All applicants will be notified by email regarding shortlist outcomes (see Key Dates for details). Shortlisted artists will then be contacted to provide additional information, including print-quality images or film files, in preparation for the exhibition launch. An entry fee of £15 covers the submission of up to 10 images or films.
