About the Open Call

The DUAL IMMERSION 2026 Summer Intensive is designed to elevate artistic practice through creative exploration and professional development. Participants engage in daily contemporary or improvisation classes, learn and film two solos (professional filming with stage lighting provided in Vancouver), and collaborate on an original performance piece. Vancouver session: July 27 – August 8, 2026. Calgary session: August 10 – August 14, 2026. Scholarships for BIPOC artists and those with financial need are available.

What is Offered

Daily technique and improvisation classes, solo repertoire training, professional portfolio filming (Vancouver), and collaborative performance opportunity.

Requirements

Vancouver applicants must be 18+; Calgary applicants must be 16+ with previous contemporary dance training. All applicants must submit a CV and movement video.

How to Apply

Applicants must submit their CV and a 2–3 minute video showcasing dynamic movement including floorwork via the provided Google form for their respective location (Vancouver or Calgary).
