About the Open Call

In its 4th year, the Doncaster Art Fair's annual online open exhibition offers artists globally a platform to showcase their unique style, creativity, media, and subject matter. We seek individual artistic expression within the theme "WORLD EVENTS," inviting interpretations of current events and global issues through abstract, modern, traditional, digital, or mixed media. Artists can submit up to three artworks. The exhibition, opening online on August 29, 2025, will feature public voting. Prizes include 'Best in Show' (£200), Second Prize (£100), Third Prize (£50) by public vote, and a Curator's Prize. Additionally, 10 artists will be featured for free in the Living Artists Contemporary Art Auction by Chinwe Russell Auctions, reaching buyers in the USA, UK, and Europe, and will receive special blog features and social media promotion. A subsidised participation fee of £30.00 is required for selected artists, irrespective of the number of works chosen. Submitting artwork for consideration is free.

What is Offered

Cash prizes (£200, £100, £50), Curator's Prize, free feature in Living Artists Contemporary Art Auction, special blog features, and social media promotion.

Requirements

Open to artists from around the world. Submit up to three works. Theme: "WORLD EVENTS". Works can be abstract, modern, traditional, digital, or mixed media. Submissions for 3D work (sculptures) are accepted.

Apply online by submitting artwork through the website form. You can submit up to three works. If selected, a participation fee of £30.00 is required.
