About the Open Call

Taking place as part of the DFP Film Festival, this intensive is designed for dancers, choreographers, actors, directors, filmmakers, and photographers. The program is structured into three phases: Day 1 (LEARN) focuses on screen-based practice, movement direction, and production planning; Day 2 (COLLABORATE) involves team-based concept development and rehearsals; Day 3 (CREATE) involves filming concepts with guidance from the DFP production crew. Participants receive all footage for their professional portfolios and access to professional dance classes.

Professional video and photo footage, workshops, feedback from Artistic Director, and a 50% discount on film festival Gala entry.

Requirements

Filmmakers and photographers must bring their own equipment. Open to dancers, choreographers, actors, directors, filmmakers, and photographers. Proposals must be achievable within the defined production window.
