About the Open Call

The Clare County Arts Council is hosting its 5th annual Art Sculpture Walk. A selection committee will choose ten pieces for a year-long outdoor exhibit running from May 2026 through April 2027. The program includes an honorarium for all participants, cash prizes for Best of Show and People's Choice, and an optional re-loan program for a second year in surrounding communities. Works are available for sale with a 20% commission to the CCAC.

What is Offered

$1,000 honorarium for selected artists; $2,500 Best of Show award; $1,000 People's Choice award; $750 stipend for the optional second-year re-loan program.

Requirements

Open to all residents of the United States. Sculptures must be original, soundly constructed of durable materials suitable for outdoor display, and must fit on concrete bases ranging from 18x18 inches to 4x7 feet.

How to Apply

Artists must apply through the CaFE platform, submitting an artist bio, statement, sculpture description/story, and up to 5 images. Requirements include providing dimensions, weight, and installation needs.
