Michigan Legacy Art Park
Inspired by the work of artist, writer and educator David Barr, Michigan Legacy Art Park provides resident artists with time, space, support and inspiration for furthering their work. The program offers a two-week stay with lodging generally in the Fall, as well as limited non-lodging residencies for local artists. Residents have the opportunity to explore the Art Park, work in a local art studio, and share their work with the public through networking and flexible public engagement opportunities.
Includes a two-week residency, a $1500 stipend for lodging residents (to cover travel, supplies, groceries, and incidentals), a $500 stipend for local non-lodging residents, access to a local art studio, and networking opportunities.
The residency is open to artists who can benefit from the park's natural setting; past residents have focused on sculpture, painting, and materials sustainability with a connection to nature.
Interested artists should follow the Application Details link on the official website to access the application materials and specific submission instructions.
