Danse Élargie
Danse élargie is an international competition imagined by Boris Charmatz and Emmanuel Demarcy-Mota, accompanied by the Fondation d'entreprise Hermès. It is open to artists from every field, including dance, theatre, music, visual arts, architecture, circus, and cinema. For its ninth edition, the competition seeks innovative gestural concepts to be performed for a maximum of 10 minutes by a minimum of 3 performers. Performances will take place on June 6-7, 2026, with rehearsals on June 4-5, 2026. This edition introduces a new option for performances in the pedestrian zone of Place du Châtelet, alongside the traditional main stage of Théâtre de la Ville – Sarah Bernhardt in Paris, France. The competition partners include Cndc d’Angers, La Comédie de Valence, CDN Drôme-Ardèche, and the Ballet de Lorraine-Centre chorégraphique national.

Artists from all fields and nationalities are welcome. Submissions must be a maximum of 10 minutes in duration and involve a minimum of 3 performers.
