DANCETOPIA
DANCETOPIA is an annual gathering dedicated to contemporary dance, body-based performance, mutual learning, and dialogue between the artistic community and the public. The 2026 edition focuses on practices exploring authenticity, artifice, technology, affect, and the re-staging of past works in new contexts. The symposium features workshops, performances in theatre and alternative spaces, and a shared space for exchange.
Artists receive a format-dependent honorarium, travel support, weekend accommodation, technical support, rehearsal time, meal vouchers on performance days, full symposium access, and marketing/media presentation.
Open to artists currently based in Czechia or Germany. Projects must align with the thematic focus on 'Authenticity & Artificiality'. Selected participants must be available for all parts of the symposium between June 5–8, 2026.
Applications must be submitted through the provided Google Form. Applicants are required to provide artist/group names, project descriptions (max 1500 characters), trailer links (YouTube/Vimeo/Drive), full-length video documentation, technical requirements, portfolio of previous work, and a biography.
