About the Open Call

Manifest Gallery's "DRAWN" is the 13th Annual International Exhibition of Contemporary Drawing, aiming to survey and present the broad scope of drawing being made today. The call is open to artists worldwide and welcomes submissions in any media relevant to drawing, including non-traditional approaches, styles, and genres such as fine art, illustration, printmaking, design, conceptual, realism, and architectural drawing. The exhibition encourages works that test the boundaries of the discipline, alongside more familiar approaches. There are no size restrictions (within gallery limits) or date requirements for submitted works. Professional-level presentation and craftsmanship are essential for accepted works. Participating artists receive a $50 honorarium, and the exhibition is part of a season where $1,000 Grand Jury Awards are given for each exhibition period. Accepted works will also be documented in Manifest Press's annual hardcover publication, the MEA.

What is Offered

Each participating exhibitor receives a $50 honorarium. $9,000 in Grand Jury Awards ($1,000 per exhibition period) are given. Exhibiting artists have the option to purchase the season annual publication (MEA) at half price.

Requirements

Open to everyone; entries must be original works qualifying as drawing. Accepts traditional and non-traditional visual arts media applicable to drawing, including printmaking, collage, paint on paper, and three-dimensional investigations. No size or timeframe restrictions, but works must be gallery-ready with professional presentation and craftsmanship.

How to Apply

Submit an online entry form, pay the entry fee ($45 for up to three entries, $5 for each additional), and upload digital images/video links to the project Dropbox. Images must follow specific naming conventions and quality guidelines. Ensure work is available for exhibit if selected and sent ready to install.
