Contemporary Visual Arts Network East Midlands
This bursary builds on a pilot programme and aims to provide better support for applicants' time and skills, acknowledging the energy invested in applications. It supports the development of ambitious activity with a focus on the visual arts and requires a commitment to contemporary art. The bursary can cover various costs including R&D, production, fabrication, mentoring, match funding, skill development, equipment purchase, new work creation, access support, event/workshop delivery, collaboration, studio rent, community engagement, and professional training. The recipient will also receive 1-to-1 mentoring with CVAN EM's Director.
A £2500 bursary and 1-to-1 mentoring with CVAN EM’s Director. Funds can support R&D, production, fabrication, mentoring, match funding, skill development, seed funding, equipment purchase, new work creation, access support, event/workshop delivery, collaboration, studio rent, community engagement, and professional training.
Applicants must be living or professionally based in the East Midlands (Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire or Rutland). Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to contemporary art and be working on ambitious activity focused on the visual arts. Individuals, collectives, and PhD candidates are eligible. Applicants currently completing undergraduate or postgraduate courses, those who received a CVAN EM Bursary in 2024-25, and organizations are ineligible.
