Creekside Arts
Creekside Arts offers a residency designed to create a dynamic setting influenced by the natural environment. Artists are encouraged to push the boundaries of their creativity and engage deeply with the local community and environment. The residency seeks artists whose projects focus on land, place, nature, and community with a political or social consciousness. The program provides fully equipped private living quarters and individual work/studio spaces. Participants are expected to engage in a half-day community project and participate in a concluding weekend public exhibition and panel discussion.
Free lodging and studio workspace for three weeks. The Libby Palmquist Fiber Arts Sponsorship provides one fiber artist with a full residency fee waiver plus a $1,500 stipend for travel, food, and supplies.
Artists must focus on land, nature, or community with social/political significance. Residents are required to participate in a half-day community engagement project (workshop, lecture, etc.) and be present for a minimum of 2 hours per day during the concluding weekend exhibition and panel discussion.
Applications are submitted through online Google Forms. There is a general residency application and a specific application for the Libby Palmquist Fiber Arts Sponsorship.
