Frank Lloyd Wright's Martin House
The residency program supports the development and presentation of creative works representing a wide range of artistic styles and practices. It is divided into two categories: the Artist Program for the development of creative works, and the Researcher Program for writers and scholars to produce projects related to Frank Lloyd Wright and the Martin House. Residents receive a stipend, housing on-site, and access to the Martin House collections. Each resident is expected to deliver a public presentation, performance, or exhibition.
$5,000 stipend, travel expenses up to $1,000 for non-local participants, and lodging at the historic Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Gardener’s Cottage.
Proposals must relate directly to the Martin House. Open to creative makers in all stages of practice. Applicants must have a US social security number or right to work in the US (e.g., permanent residents, OPT holders, or Indigenous peoples under the Jay Treaty). Residency requires a public presentation and compliance with COVID-19 protocols.
Applications are accepted online during the application window from March 30 to April 24, 2026. Applicants must submit a residency proposal relating directly to the Martin House, along with a project description, work samples, and a resume.
