About the Open Call

The Creative Process Residency is Greywood Arts' signature self-directed option, open to all visual, performing, and literary arts disciplines, as well as curators, researchers, creatives, and philosophers. Located in an iconic 3-story Georgian house in the center of Killeagh, a vibrant modern Irish village, the residency offers dedicated spaces for creative development. Facilities include a Writer’s Den, a large Visual Art Studio, The Big Studio for movement and performing artists, a Library reservable for musicians with piano access, and the Sycamore Suite, a hybrid live-work space with ensuite. The residency encourages interaction between artists and the local community through showings, demonstrations, readings, workshops, or concerts, aiming to expose the village to diverse art forms and processes. Greywood Arts is committed to accessibility and inclusivity, welcoming artists of all backgrounds, races, genders, and sexual identities, and offers support in discussing accessibility needs or accommodating families on a case-by-case basis. While the residency itself is self-funded, Greywood Arts supports residents in seeking external funding by providing letters of support or formal invitations.

Requirements

Open to individuals with a creative process, across all visual, performing, and literary arts disciplines, including artists, curators, researchers, and philosophers. Artists of all backgrounds, races, genders, and sexual identities are welcome. The building has many stairs, and is not yet able to accommodate individuals with certain mobility disabilities. Artists who are also parents may be accommodated on a case-by-case basis.

Preferred Deadline: Apply by December 15th 2024 for the best opportunity to get the dates you request! Applications will continue to be accepted on a rolling basis and are reviewed monthly until all slots are filled. Reviews typically take place the first week of the month.
