About the Open Call

The Human Impacts Institute (HII) launched its Creative Climate Awards (CCA), an annual festival designed to ignite climate action through artistic public engagement. The CCAs foster curiosity and spark conversations about pressing climate issues through a range of activities, including exhibits, salons, workshops, and master classes. Since its inception, the CCAs have showcased over 250 artists from 51 countries through more than 60 public art exhibits at iconic NYC locations, such as Times Square and the Manhattan Bridge. The Creative Climate Awards inspire communities to take action for a sustainable future. The Creative Climate Awards celebrate artists and culture creators who engage, educate, and incite action with their creativity. Each year, there is an open call for participants in a month-long exhibit in NYC. If selected, participants will be invited to special events and have their work seen by mentors. The 2026 theme is Collective Power.
