Croatian Association of Fine Artists (HDLU)
The Croatian Association of Fine Artists (HDLU) launches a call for an international artist to participate in the KARAS + KVART project. Selected through the CreArt 3.0 network, the artist will collaborate with Vana Gaćina on her project 'FluctuHood'. The project explores sustainable biorefineries and urban energy accessibility through interdisciplinary art. The focus is on developing interactive, energetically self-sustaining installations using locally collected bio-waste and secondary raw materials within the micro-ecological system of the Karas Gallery neighborhood. Preference is given to artists working in bioart, biohacking, DIY/DIWO, and experimental media.
Three-week accommodation in Zagreb (May 2026), round-trip travel expenses up to 400 EUR, an artistic fee of 1,200 EUR gross, a daily allowance of 30 EUR per day, and a production budget of 5,000 EUR gross for the collaborative artwork.
Open to artists of the younger generation born or residing in the CreArt network cities: Kaunas, Liepaja, Skopje, Aveiro, Valladolid, Lublin, Venice, Clermont-Ferrand, Rouen, České Budějovice, Oulu, or Regensburg. Also open to Ukrainian artists through the Lviv Artistic Council 'Dialog'.
Applicants must register and upload their portfolio on the CreArt website.
