Parlour and Ramp
CRAFT is the 2026 Black History Month Showcase, hosted by Parlour & Ramp in Chicago. The theme, Afrofuturism: The Future of Black Innovation, invites artists to explore ancestral traditions through futuristic execution. The showcase highlights Black artists from the Chicagoland area across various mediums. The event includes an opening gallery reception on February 6th, 2026, a silent auction, and a series of Art Talks. Artists must be able to drop off and pick up their artwork in person at the gallery located in the Pilsen neighborhood.
Inclusion in a gallery exhibition, participation in a silent auction, social media promotion, and opportunities to speak at community Art Talks throughout February 2026. A 'Best in Show' award will also be presented.
Open to Black artists, specifically targeting those in the Chicagoland area. Artists must be able to deliver and pick up their work in person at the Chicago gallery. Artworks must align with the theme of Afrofuturism. Maximum of two submissions per artist.
Artists can apply via the provided Google Form. Submissions require an artist bio, headshot, and up to two works of art. For each submission, artists must include the title, medium, date, price, and dimensions. Images must be under 10MB.
