About the Open Call
The CPH:LAB is an incubator for projects by artists keen to explore new forms of expression in factual storytelling, specifically fostering experimentation across film, creative arts, science, technology, and social entrepreneurship. The program supports up to nine teams through a combination of onsite workshops in Copenhagen and online mentoring from September 2026 to March 2027. It particularly welcomes projects at the intersection of documentary and videogame development, as well as those using AI, XR, and immersive technologies.
What is Offered
Seven-month incubator, international mentorship, professional networking, presentation at CPH:DOX 2027, and full accreditation for the festival.
Requirements
Applicants should apply as a core creative team. Projects must explore new forms of expression in factual storytelling. Previous involvement in other international training initiatives may affect priority. Film projects intended for traditional TV or cinema distribution are not eligible.
