AiR 351
This program approaches production not as a technical procedure but as a complex field where relations of power and cosmological assumptions converge. It includes a theoretical seminar titled 'Theoria: A Very Practical Introduction to Contemplative Thinking' led by Giovanbattista Tusa, and three workshops with artists Alexandre Estrela, Claire Fontaine, and philosopher Michael Marder. The program concludes with a public day designed by participants to share research and articulate alternative modes of artistic engagement. The sessions encourage shifting from individual expression toward situated activity entangled with social and ecological systems.
Participation is free of charge. The program provides a fee to support travel expenses for both local and international participants. Up to 10 participants will be selected.
Open to artists, researchers, cultural practitioners, activists, and thinkers who understand artistic practice as a site of inquiry and are prepared for a collective, research-driven approach. The program is held entirely in English.
Applicants must submit a short statement outlining their practice and interest in the seminar, a brief biography, and optionally up to two links or examples of recent work to catia.ramos@air351.art.
