About the Open Call

The Seattle Prize provides painters with a full year of studio space, mentorship, and a cohort of peers focused on creating ambitious work grounded in beauty and truth. Based at the Occidental Fine Arts Center in Pioneer Square, the program is run by the Conru Art Foundation and is dedicated to the revival of traditional mastery.

What is Offered

$50,000–$80,000 annual stipend, 12-month fellowship, private studio space, and mentorship.
