About the Open Call

The Columbia Festival of the Arts' LakeFest event returns to the Columbia Lakefront from June 12-14, 2026. The Invitational Fine Arts & Crafts Show is a juried show seeking artisans with original work, representing a breadth of media from functional to wearable art. The event includes live national and regional performances, children’s activities, and food trucks. Artists are expected to be onsite for the duration of the show and must have their work available for sale.

What is Offered

Accepted artists receive an assigned 10’ x 10’ booth space, a fire-code certified tent and sides (included in the $275 fee), volunteer assistance for load-in/load-out and booth breaks, and comprehensive promotion via paid advertising and PR.

Requirements

Work must be original and for sale. Artists must be onsite June 12-14, 2026. Participants must use NFPA 701 Fire Code Certified tents and have a fire extinguisher (size 2A 10BC) in their booth. Selected exhibitors will be reported to the Maryland State Tax office and issued a temporary permit if needed.

How to Apply

Applicants must complete the online form on Jotform, which includes submitting an artist statement/bio, listing previous art shows, and uploading 3-5 digital images of original artwork plus a booth display image (if available). The submission deadline is Monday, February 16, 2026.
