circusnext
circusnext intends to build an ecosystem for artistic risk-taking, research and experimentation. On an annual basis, circusnext launches a call for projects to identify and support emerging circus authors throughout Europe. Its primary goal is to care for and encourage the development of new generations of creative spirits in the circus sector, who dare to experiment and question the current artistic boundaries. This open call is intended for emerging artists who are currently developing an upcoming circus creation.
Financial support, creation & touring opportunities, labs & trainings, communication support, and European-scale networking.
Applicants must be emerging circus authors (no age limit) from all disciplines. The project must be a creation in progress with no premiere scheduled before September 2027. Eligibility depends on the number of previous creations: 1st or 2nd creation for artists in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands; 1st, 2nd, or 3rd creation for those in other Creative Europe countries and Switzerland.
Applications are submitted through an online Jotform. Required materials include an online form for general project/author information, a project presentation (using the provided template), a 10-minute video, an artistic dossier or creation material, and a provisional creation calendar.
