About the Open Call

The Choreographic Marathon is a platform for deep research into process and principles. The program accepts established and emerging movement-based artists working in all forms of dance. It is a hybrid program (in-studio/online) consisting of a 3-day intensive followed by 4 months of mentor support. Proposals can include work-in-progress, conceptual material, or past works to be redeveloped. Applicants are encouraged to form groups of at least 3 people.

What is Offered

26.2+ hours of Creation, Exchange and Mentoring, 4 months of follow-up support, documentation of work, presentation opportunity, and presence on international websites.

Requirements

Lead creator, performers/dancers, video documentation of material, bios, and a 300-500 word project description.

How to Apply

Email an expression of interest to choreomarathon@acrossoceans.org, followed by a full proposal including bio, project description, participant confirmation, photos, and a video URL. Pay the $20 application fee via the website donation page.
