About the Open Call

The Teatro Nacional Cervantes invites composers of all ages and nationalities to submit works for the second edition of the Cervantes Electroacoustic International Festival. The event focuses on acousmatic music and music with video, featuring concerts with an 8-channel surround sound system, alongside lectures, workshops on composition and sound spatialization, and round tables.

What is Offered

Selected works will be performed in one of the festival's concerts using an 8-channel surround sound projection device.

Requirements

Works should be 2 to 8 tracks, preferably up to 10 minutes long, and composed within the last five years. Each composer may only submit one work. Audio files must be in .wav format (48 kHz, 24 bits) and video files in .mp4 format.

How to Apply

Applicants should send an email to cervanteselectroacustico@gmail.com containing a permanent link (valid until June 30, 2026) to a .zip folder. The folder must contain a PDF with the composer's bio, title of the work, and commentary, as well as the audio (WAV, 48 kHz, 24 bits) or video (MP4) files.
