About the Open Call

The residency program at Casa provides an opportunity for artists from across all disciplines to pursue their practice in a supportive, concentrated, community-based atmosphere. Open to artists with diverse experience levels, backgrounds and a variety of media including those in or recently graduated from undergraduate programs. Workshops, installations, open houses and artist talks are part of the AiR community engagement program.

What is Offered

Casa provides studio space free of charge and helps coordinate public engagement opportunities such as workshops, installations, open houses, and artist talks. Specialized facilities include clay, woodworking, textile, 2D, printmaking, and darkroom studios, as well as a dance studio.

Requirements

Open to artists across all disciplines, including emerging, mid-career, and established artists, as well as students or recent graduates. Successful candidates are responsible for their own travel, lodging, and per diems.

How to Apply

Submissions are accepted twice annually on January 15 and June 15. Artists can apply through the official application package link on the Casa Lethbridge website.
