About the Open Call

CaRt26 | Contemporary Art in Realism invites artists worldwide to submit works showcasing masterful realism with fresh relevance. This 3rd International Juried Exhibition celebrates the enduring legacy and dynamic present of realism, focusing on representational works that capture the essence of the observable world through portraits, figures, still lifes, interiors, or landscapes. The exhibition is juried by four masters of realism: Kazuhiro Yamada, Kumiko S. McKee, Ricki Klages, and Rubén Fernández Pereira.

What is Offered

$3500 in cash awards including 3SA Gold ($2000), Silver ($1000), and Bronze ($500) awards, professional exhibition space, website listing, and social media coverage.

Requirements

Open to international artists aged 18+; original works created on or after April 2021; traditional media only including Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, and Printmaking; no digital art, photography, or AI-generated elements; works must fit through a 6ft x 7ft doorway; works previously exhibited at 3 Square Art Gallery are ineligible.

How to Apply

Select the number of images to submit on the website (starting at $65 for 1 image). Pay the entry fee through the online form. After payment, email artwork images named as FirstLast_Title.jpg to submissions@3squareart.com along with info including title, medium, dimensions, and year created.
