About the Open Call

The open call welcomes contemporary artists from all nationalities and backgrounds working across visual and digital arts. Selected projects will be exhibited in street-facing commercial spaces, encouraging everyday encounters with contemporary art outside traditional gallery settings. Artists may propose new or adapted existing works designed specifically for storefront windows, with optional performative elements. The programme supports experimental and publicly engaged practices while revitalising unused urban spaces through temporary installations visible from the exterior only.

Requirements

Applications are free and open until 24 May 2026. Artists must demonstrate an established and active artistic practice with evidence of professional engagement and public presentation of their work. Applicants are required to submit a CV and portfolio, a written presentation of the proposed project (minimum 1,800 characters), installation visuals or sketches, high-resolution images of artworks, and artist portraits. Projects must be suitable for public viewing and available for transport and installation within Europe from September 2026 onward. Selected artists receive a €950 artist fee/production budget, travel support, accommodation, and technical installation assistance.
