Mid Atlantic Arts
Central Appalachia Living Traditions (CALT) Experiences grants fund public-facing projects and events such as workshops, exhibitions, performances, film/video, and radio broadcasts that bring community members together around traditional arts. The program aims to encourage broad public awareness and appreciation of living traditions or to grow artistic skill and cultural knowledge within the Appalachian community. At least 85% of funds must be used for direct project costs.
Grant support ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 with no match requirement.
Applicants must be an individual traditional artist/practitioner or a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, unit of government, or Tribal government based in an Appalachian Regional Commission-designated county in OH, VA, or WV. Fiscal sponsorship is not permitted.
